A visit to this fascinating country house at Christmas is the perfect chance to lift your spirits for the festive season ahead.

Meander upstairs and downstairs though 30 evocative rooms filled with fine art and furniture that will be transformed with seasonal floral displays, stunning decorations and garlands.

Children can experience the magic of the Hall at its twinkling best searching for the Christmas Reindeer hidden in each room.

Hall: open daily 11am – 4pm, last admission 3pm.

Stables, Grounds, Stables Kitchen & Gift Shop: open daily 10am – 4pm.

Normal admission charges apply.

Cobwebs & Cream Teas at Christmas

Join us for an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the Hall led by one of our expert guides and discover the cellars, attics, rooftops and everything else in-between!

Indulge in the latest exhibition Drink, Dance & Decadence and immerse yourselves in a Country House at Christmas.

The price of £35.50 per person also includes access to our Grounds & Stables from 10am, plus a self-guided walk round the Hall which will be decked with holly, as well as a whole range of seasonal greenery and splashes of festive colour to enhance the cosy intimacy of a Country House at Christmas.

This will be followed by a deliciously festive afternoon tea served from the Stables Kitchen at 3pm.

Places on the tour are limited to 10 people and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please notify us of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Schedule:

  • Arrive at your leisure from 10am onwards
  • 11:45am to 12:00pm – entry into the hall for your self – guided tour
  • 1:15pm – Cobwebs and Cream Teas tour starts in the Great Hall
  • 3:00pm – Afternoon Tea served in the Stables Kitchen
  • 4:00pm Hall & Grounds close.

  • November – 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th, 30th
  • December – 4th, 5th, 8th,  10th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th

 ** The tour involves steep spiral staircases and some areas haven’t been used for many years.  Please wear sensible footwear.
