City Centre Businesses Offer Family Fun With Festive Gingerbread Hunt

A festive gingerbread scavenger hunt is enticing families into Hull city centre with the promise of fun finding the clues hidden in shops and other businesses – and a mouth-watering prize at the end.

Participants need to crack the clues in in the competition forms to identify the 16 outlets, then find the gingerbread man symbols and note down the letter. They then need to rearrange the letters to discover the secret message.

Give Young People Their Chance to Dance!

Students who attend East Yorkshire schools and youth groups have an exciting opportunity to showcase their creativity through dance thanks to an upcoming competition. Chance to Dance is a new performance challenge scheduled for Spring 2020, brought to the region by local businesses Drunk Animal Creative Studio and National Events Support. The aim of the competition is to celebrate student participation in performing arts whilst creating inspiring productions.

Best Performing Police Force For Morale

Humberside Police officers have reported another significant shift in morale, according to the Police Federation Annual National Pay and Morale survey 2019, released today.

Not only are Humberside Police officers reporting the most improved morale of any force nationally, as can be seen from the national bar chart for each force, Humberside Police are also 1st in several key categories out of every force in the country.

Enjoy Christmas With A Festive Fruit Market Twist!

Hull’s Fruit Market district is getting full-on festive this Christmas! The Christmas season with a Fruit Market twist kicks off on Friday, November 29, with a night of fabulously festive fun. The Humber Street event fires up at 5pm with a storytelling and saxophone rave by Hull comedy duo Gary & Jeddy Bear, and acapella carols by the Human Jukebox Choir, followed by the lighting up of the Christmas tree at 6pm.

The hugely popular Beverley Festival of Christmas, in East Yorkshire, has grown from a small market to one of the largest festive celebrations in England. Held on 8 December from 10am to 4pm, join in the festivities.
